E. & T. Builders Ltd. is a family run business based in Kinsale, Co. Cork, and has been trading since 1978. It was founded by Eleanor & Teddy O' Brien who are the E & T of E. & T. Builders Ltd.
Teddy is responsible for supervision of all building contracts and is a plasterer by trade. He has been in the Construction Industry for over forty years. Teddy ensures that the company's high standards and quality are maintained, resulting in your dream home becoming a reality.
Eleanor was the first Chairperson of the Southern Region Business Development Network for women in the Construction Industry. She now holds a seat on the C.I.F. Cork Branch Executive.
Kenneth, their son, joined the team in 1985. Ken completed a diploma in Construction Studies in 1984 and has been with the company on a full time basis since then. He is responsible for the general day to day running of the company. He also negotiates with architects and engineers.
Cathy, their daughter, deals with the house sales and will be the person that guides you through the purchase of your new home. Cathy has been with the company since July 1989 and is responsible for administration and office procedure also. Cathy studied Interior Design and liases with clients with regard to final finishes. She also holds a seat on the C.I.F. Cork Branch Executive.
Claire Barr is with the company since August 1994. Claire is our purchasing manager and is responsible for all other office duties. Claire has qualifications in computer applications, word processing, typing and office procedures.
Our labour is drawn from a pool of skilled tradesmen. We retain two full time foremen, carpenters and labourers who, with Ted and Ken make up our core staff. Additional staff are engaged as necessary with most trades being subcontracted to cope with fluctuations in demand.
We build quality houses in well-located areas of Kinsale and the surrounding areas. We use local labour, sub-contractors and locally sourced materials wherever possible.
Our aim is to cater for all budgets in the range of houses that we build and sell. At the moment, our range varies from three bed town houses in Kinsale, to 2,400 sq. ft luxury bungalows in Ardbrack, and a range of three to five bedroom houses in Ardbrack also.
